Asset Information : R001-04911

A railtour passenger service headed by locomotive number 62360 at Cudworth station. One of H.B.P's most memorable Railtours took place on the 24th August 1952. The occasion was organised jointly by The Stephenson Locomotive Society and The Manchester Locomotive Society to run between Sheffield and Hull and back embracing the Hull and Barnsley main lines. H.B.P recalls that ex-Midland Railway Belpaire 4-4-0 N0. 40726 took the train foward from Sheffield Wicker Station to Cudworth, where former North Eastern Railway D20, 4-4-0 N0. 62360 took over. The tour embraced the entire length of the Hull and Barnsley and the few branches it had.
